Day Three Hundred and Thirty-Four: Color Blocks

This is a shot of part of a painting that hangs in our rented house. It was done by our landlord's daughter. She has several paintings up in the house and I like many of them, even though I had to take some down to make room for the art we brought with us.

Day Three Hundred and Fifteen: Red & Yellow

Red and yellow, kill a fellow.

Red and black, friend of Jack.

Even though I never see snakes, I still think of this little rhyme regularly when I see these colors together.

Day Two Hundred and Eighty-One: Yellow + Purple

Yikes! I'm so far behind. Hopefully I can remedy that soon.

Day Two Hundred and Seventy-Two: Red + Green

I actually really love red and green together, but it's a bit tricky to find ways to combine them that don't scream "CHRISTMAS!" Because that's totally not what I'm going for, generally.

Day Two Hundred and Sixty-Five: Color Block

Cory and I drove out to Fort Worth to see some art at the Community Arts Center and I had to stop on the way back to photograph this building. I have no idea what it is. Every sign I saw on the outside simply referred to "the Company" and never to its actual name or what it did. That actually made me kind of nervous.

Day Ninety-One: Brazil

I went to dinner with Kim and Cory at Gloria's, followed by coffee and dessert at Cafe Brazil, where this picture was taken. It was a fun night, even though I got incredibly sleepy before 10 pm (way early!).

Day Eighty-Four: Lite Brite

Okay, so this isn't an actual Lite Brite in the photo, but I love the way the colors and spacing of the lights look like the Lite Brite I had when I was a kid. I kind of wish I still had it.

Day Sixty-Six: Rouge

These are some of my favorite colors. Actually, more accurately, I don't have true favorite colors, but these have characteristics of colors I love: vivid, saturated, practically blinding.
