Day Two Hundred and Twenty-Eight: Windows
Cory and I were in Austin this whole day. We spent a good part of it with Conor and Amanda (his friends we were visiting) and went out and met up with his sister, dad, and brother that night. Somehow, I only managed to take pictures of Conor and Amanda's front door the whole day.
Photographer fail!
I comfort myself by remembering that it was raining for a good part of the day, but that's not really a very good excuse. It didn't rain all day, after all.
Day Two Hundred and Twenty-Seven: Country Sunset
Cory and I drove down to Austin to visit some of his friends a couple of weekends ago. I took the photo for the day when we stopped somewhere along the way for gas. I wish I'd noted where we were.
Here are some more shots from our trip south. Leaving Dallas:
A payphone at the gas station where we stopped:

Day Two Hundred and Twenty-Four: Red & Yellow, Kill a Fellow
This was the day I gave final exams for the semester. For me, since I'm giving and not taking the exams, that just means I had 5 full hours of time to sit quietly and read while students wrote their exams.

Day Two Hundred and Sixteen: Innards
I am considering selling my piano and upgrading to a digital piano or nice keyboard. I have emotional ties to my piano because I've played it my whole life and it was my mom's even before I was born, but it is in pretty bad shape. It's long past the point of being able to hold a tuning and the action on the keys is pretty sad. I barely play any more because it's just not really that enjoyable on this instrument.
I hope I can get at least a little bit of money for it so I can put that money toward an investment in a new instrument that I will want to play more often.
